International Women’s Day 2023

First published March 7, 2023

At The Creative Occupation, we’re all about uplifting underrepresented creatives. Disappointingly, the creative sector gender divide still exists. According to the Design Council, only 22% of the UK’s creative and design workforce are women, despite the fact that women currently account for around 60% of students enrolled in university arts and design courses. Research conducted by Creative Equals shows that women account for just 17% of UK creative directors 🙁 We’re excited to #EmbraceEquity through celebrating women’s achievement this International Women’s Day. We’ve selected four she/they creatives whose work we stan! Give them some love and let us know who you’re celebrating…
